you bought a pair of i/o compatible mice . . . on purpose!?!!!!!! tired of driving to the store for replacements? and you thought 'zaboxes multiplied quickly!

i'm amazed they sell mice as pets down there now that i think about it. have you gotten the rabbit problem under control, btw? i guess there'd be no way to control mice and rats, or were there already some placental varmints down there already?

The bunnies are still a problem - kinda under a vague sort of control atm... and since the country was claimed by a bunch of brits in -boats-... rats, mice, cockroaches & the like would have started colonising the place about the same time they did...

Are they ADB or USB? And I am almost afraid to ask where you plug the cable in...

Delightful mammalian domestic adjuncts there!! (with such cute feets)

RE: I/O compatibility: Hmmm.. USB is more "Plug n Play" than ADB, but the "pin" count is wrong for either USB or ADB. Maybe they are coax???? In any case, definitely hot-pluggable!

But the real questions are: are they one-button or two-button mice? Are 68k drivers available? Do you need a mouse pad for them?

I just had a fun hack idea. Rig the optical encoder from a "real mouse" to their exercise wheel and write a little Hypercard script to log the change in mouse location over time. You could either have it log the data to a text file or paint a fun little graph of their activity.

LOL! a MacMouseSpa/RodentRecRoom hack! ADB rules, you just can't beat good old fashioned i/o. USB sucks!

RCA plugs maybe? Maybe they're from some kinda ancient proprietry POS computer that became vapourware before leg warmers went out of style.

Don't these creatures use GMTP (Genetic Material Transport Protocol)? After hand-shaking there is a ping. Latency on the ping is about 20 days and results in the delivery of an average of 6 packets. These packets can recursively execute GMTP after a month or two, resulting in exponential growth in kibble processing units.
