Does anyone know where I could find a copy of BeOS for Mac PPC? I'd really like to try it out on my 6400, but I can't find a copy. Either an online store or a Hotline server would be good.Official 68kMLA Music and NeXT Expert OpenStep Page at http://openstep.topcities.com/ Macs Liberated: SE (2), IIsi, PB 145c, Quadra 700, 6100 (2), PB 5300, PowerMac 5400/200, Performa 6400/180 PCs liberated from Windoze: 3 |

I just uploaded it to Uploads directory of the 68kmla Hotline server (68k.dns2go.com:5500).It's a 6MB Stuffit archive of a 14.4MB disk image. It will probably take a couple of minutes for a pre-G3 Mac to unstuff the image once it's been downloaded.

It won't work. You just imaged the Mac partition of the CD; the BFS partition isn't there. Try making a raw device image of the disk. In OS X Disk Copy, select "New Image from Device..." from the Image menu.Anyone have anything other than the preview release? I'd like to use BeOS for working with audio, and few audio programs will run on the preview release. Oops, my bad.www.purplus.com has versions 4, 4.5 and 5, boxed, for $9, $19 and $38 respectively. According to the site, all include Intel and PPC versions.
