OS 8.1 and Claris Works 4 loaded and running.
96 mb of fpm ram ordered.
About to place bid on addtional 2mb of v-ram
Driver disk for zoom external modem found.

It's the freakin' modem cable that's MIA. I just bought one off of e-Bay, but that's like another 5 days 'til it comes.

This project (to get another web capable desktop up and running) is made all the more urgent by the fact that I think the c:drive on my PC is about to die. :( (It's making noises.) I have about 98% of my irreplacable data backed up, and I've got 40 gig HD sitting in my closet, but any way you slice it, loading in a new drive and getting up and running again sucks, even when you're hyper organized and have all your disks ready to go.

---

Spaceboy, when do you want me to bring the IDE drive to work? How does $10 sound?

Hey-
I've got a PC-to-Mac serial cable you're welcome to use till yours comes from eBay! Lemme know...
$10 for that drive sounds fine- if it's not to much trouble, just bring it up to special collections- I'll be in the lab today till about 4:45, or on monday (or tomorrow, if you're around...)
Just lemme know what you think!
:-)
