It's a adb port, its just to make it eaiser cablewise i guess. it feeds out to 2 connectors on the sides of the monitor.

In the base there is a 3 ADB plugs for easy adb access, but on the tube case there is a mini din 9 pin SERIAL plug covered by a little black plastic cover._______________________ Sgt. ooooh, if there's another one, it might be for convenience, maybe it's a ColorSync monitor though, maybe you can have MacPIP (picture in picture) by hooking up a second monitor to the serial port..no, it's probably ColorSync or some advanced control method Official 68k videographer |

Nah. It's for troubleshooting with MacTest Pro, I think...or maybe even the Display Adjustment/Service utility..-------------------- keeper of the website , master of the Quadra/Centris Stick of Justice™, and figure-head of the Peoples' PDS Republic -------------------- |
