Auction houses (real ones) are a decent bet, but schools tend to be even better, and usually cheaper.
However, you can't just rock up to a school's reception and say "Got any old Macs?" The more connections you have, the better.

Anyway, where are you located?

I haven't really seen any macs being auctioned off lately from the Computer/IT auctions that I sometimes go to. There is a flea market coming up so ill probably have a look there. Oh, I'm located in Adelaide.
