I haven't been able to connect to AIM at work since Tuesday, and I thought it was just because of the quirky firewall on the office T1. However, I tried last night at home and I can't get on either. I thought masybe somebody'd dicovered my password and changed it, but I had AIM send me my correct password and it's still the same. What gives?!Lieutenant EL CINE, 666th poster to the 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Forums Master of the Mac II series forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 4 |

P.S. - I sent in a bug report in hopes that they will shed some light if somehow this issue is discrete and not a AIM server problem. Poop.Lieutenant EL CINE, 666th poster to the 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Forums Master of the Mac II series forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 4 |

are you on aol?if not, and you just have aim, try dumping it's preferences, most likely corrupted. worst case dump the whole thing and start over with a fresh download. sosumi 68k macs liberated:3 |

I'm on a PC here at work, where there's no such thing as preferences, and I'm using AIM only, not AOL. I'll try uninstalling it and reinstalling it, see if that works. I'll have to try trashing the prefs at home, though.Lieutenant EL CINE, 666th poster to the 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Forums Master of the Mac II series forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 4 |

Ahhh, just great. I uninstalled AIM, then d/l'd and tried to reinstall AIM 4.7 but it locked Win98 up and I had to ctrl+alt+del twice to reboot. While it's trying to recover I switched over to NT so that I can at least still have access to the forums. AAARRRRRGGHHH!!! Sometimes I really wish i could work from home instead of being forced to use Wintel products...Lieutenant EL CINE, 666th poster to the 68K Macintosh Liberation Army Forums Master of the Mac II series forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 4 |

Well I found out last night that it is working fine at home on my mac, it's just this bloody Win98 box that won't connect to the AIM server.
