we add the phrase "pulling a burncycle" into the 68Kmla glossary as "someone who is ether in the 68K game for the money, or is going to randomly throw out their old macs because they do not want to deal with them" credit to TiMac for origonally creating it (and scaring the hell out of me in the process) now let's prevent anyone and everyone from pulling a burncycle!

that'd be ironic, and not particularly funny . . .

mostly because people like that are free to treat their property any way they choose and the only way to keep them from behaving that way would be to explain that the only way to get a decent amount of money for that kinda crap on eBay is to treat the operation like a chop shop and that'd be worse! there are already too many jerks parting perfectly functional equipment out (and collectables like Lisa's!) to sell the stuff on eBay already.

playful razzing of comrades is one thing, but let's not start creating MLA slang based on character attacks, shall we?

when the shoe was on the other foot: </Ti-Wanna-Be A Mod Mode> wasn't very funny was it Ti? this one strikes me as much worse, it might be okay on AIM, but we don't need anything shading that close to the nasty side archived in the forums, IMHO.

as a mod, i'd appreciate your editing that userid out of your post, boredom and i think Ti will probably agree. the regulars will all know who you mean and <name removed> should be clear enough for this one on a humorous level.

Boredom. A disease, like no other.
It is highly contaigous. Symptoms include going insane. Sometimes forces the host person to go on a binge eating spree.

Yes. Common forms of medical treatment include movies, hanging out with friends, and playing around with old Macs.

Boredom can also be cured by jazz guitar playing and/or jazz listening. I've listened to the same Wes Montgomery solo 20 times in a row and not gotten bored. I find that boredom leads to new musical ideas because IMHO it's better to experiment with something and have it come out really badly than it is to be bored.

no! macs are too easy for boredom, they fix easy (except the PB screens) it's old PEESEES that are really good for curing boredom.
for example, I got a new(er) PEESEE, it's supposedly a PIII it's an AT mobo and the PXU doesn't work it would have been my rhapsody machine...
I can't gett the rhapsody boot disks to work either

Yup! When i get truly bored, i grab one, break it, fix it, break it again, fix it again, and then find something better to do.
