very cool, silly maniac! i think i meed to do a desktop takeofff of that by lining up my gaggle of mid-towers! the handles on my G-4 would screw up the symmetry tho! :rolleyes:on a more serious note: the alignment of the 630 and 605 front bezels in your piccie suggest that my microquadra hack musings may be more practical than i'd originally thought! jt ™. NICE!!!!(Although that wasn't quite what i expected. First i thought yu'd just gotten a 9600. Then i thought you could have gotten a G3 minitower. Then i thought it could be another crazy but cool vHack. You surprised us again, Dana. ) Still nice though. Shows that the Centris 650 really does have some muscle...literally. Btw, it should be noted that i have two little towers: My 128 sits on top of the LC630, and my Classic II sits on top of the Hackintosh. Not to mention that 10km high Leaning Tower Of Dead PowerBooks.... -------------------------- Pizzabox LCs RULE!!!!!!! I'm sure I could do much the same with my pile of LC pizzaboxes :D. At the moment I have everything pulled to pieces. again. ready to relocate the webserver a bit further away from my desk, so's it's all quiet. I might pack up all the 68ks for a bit, in anticipation of the new one arriving (hopefully, an 840av, if the auction goes well!) dana

Nice stack (but is it a TCP/IP stack?). It reminds me of one of those "Towers of Lucas" puzzles (sometimes called "Tower of Hanoi" or "Tower of Brahma") where you have to sort a set of disks by size in the minimum number of moves. The obsessive-complusive in me wants to sort the stack-o-macs to put the biggest one on the bottom, while the trickster in me wants to build an inverted pyramid of macs.G4From128k by Day: Mild-Mannered Engineer and Trapeze(tm) Artist by Night: Colonel of Truth, Justice, and the Macintosh Way Reserve Officer in 68kMLA Cantankerous Coot Contingent & User of the Hockey Puck Mouse of Radial Symmetry |

Does it say much for myself, that I just wanted to do the inverted pyramid thing m'self?. I'd probably stop there too, considering one is a 6100 and one's a 6300 - two rather -heavy- little maccies... ...before anyone asks, yes the 950 stays on the bottom :D. dana (twice herniated twice shy... :)

At the moment it's an 840av, 500mb HD and 24Mb RAM - 2 NuBus cards of some kind are in it, but the seller didn't mention just what. First thing I'll do I think, is upgrade to 128mb and 2gb - pop it on the network, and play for a bit :D dana

Absolutely! People who build inverted Mac-Pyramids receive the coveted "Medallion of Mac Mischief" And, if you balanced that nice iMac on the very top, then you would be awarded the "Mac Mischief Medal of Honor" Of course, selling those awards on eBay probably would NOT bring in enough money to pay for the resulting hernia operation or broken computers.G4From128k by Day: Mild-Mannered Engineer and Trapeze(tm) Artist by Night: Colonel of Truth, Justice, and the Macintosh Way Reserve Officer in 68kMLA Cantankerous Coot Contingent & User of the Hockey Puck Mouse of Radial Symmetry |

Hehe yeah. Btw, that reminds me. I saw the weirdest thing come into the Shop once. An LC475 with a lid from a MicroQuadra that had broken clips. It was all yellowed and everything. It wasn't huggably cute! -------------------------- Pizzabox LCs RULE!!!!!!! Warrior maclover5 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 6
