Following from the 68060 thread what 68kmac would we all like? For me 68060 but best 68k cpu when all said & done. support for very large fast hard drives, I would prefer scsi. How many Nubus slots can we have? 10? in the vein of the Quadra 840av so audio/video support as with 840av but support also for millions of colours. Tower case that looks like the 840av case but is taller & has space for about 4 or 5 drives. no more inject! I will pretend to be maclover &/or coxy & say "we don't need usb or firewire, a well designed computer dosnt need them"(raflmao) direct to disk recording from tv channels ie:- a video recorder but without the hideous vhs tapes. In the same vein I guess a souped up powerbook 280c.(not towered) shaktiman Quadra 840av 128MB ram 2MB vram cd drive(caddy),1 caddy!:-)1.44 floppy drive, inject :-(1.2 gig drive 2 monitors 15" & 14" os 8.1 56k modem Stylewriter 1200 Zodiac speakers Umax 1220s scanner 3 year old son! |

I would like to have a 68060 mac inside one of those PowerMac 8600 cases with Full AV in and out (audio also) a TV tunerTV and FM tuners are also a must, just for the coolness factor, a built in DSL or Cable modem would be nice, In fact, lets just go for the port on the back where we hook up our "desktop satellite" pointing out the window and connect to the internet via satellite. All this would of course need an OS far more capable than 8.1 and alot of RAM, lets say a version 4 or 5 of A/UX and at least 64 or RAM in the base config. (my quasra 840AV has 64MB) I would like USB, but with all of the above, and enough bays to have 2 cd drives (the one thing I would change on my quadra) I would do without it. and at least a 10GB hard drive. If my AudioVision 14 monitor could display in a higher resolution, and my Adjustable keyboard could change the channels, I would be happy Who needs OS 10 when we can use A/UX

Say what??? Anyway, the 840AV does have support for millions of colours already, you know. Unless you're running it at an insanely high resolution, maybe you need some more VRAM.
