I contributed a little and gave the Army a plug. Maybe some of you would like to comment.

It's interesting to read those comments. I'll admit that I cruised them quickly and didn't read every word, but it surprised me how many of those people give the older mac no respect at all and not to mention seeing people referencing 400/g4 as old!!! I guess i live in a different lifestyle that can't drop thousands of dollars on a new mac every year or two. I'm hoping that my 8500 g3 will last me through 4 more years of college. As it is, when i move into the dorms, i'll be taking most of my macs since they all serve a purpose that i can't live without . Of course my comment to us here, which I've talked to maclover5 about a few times on IM. What do we use our 68k macs for? So far, most of mine are toys, although I'm currently working on a transition (* are not working yet) to have my setup look like this:

q950a - software router*
q950b - email server*
q950c - web server*
IIci - currently the hotline tracker
q650 - was for games and newton connectivity, until the hdd died a couple of weeks ago.

I've been thinking of a project that could challenge us as a group for our 68k macs. I'm not sure what, but i'm open for suggestions. examples could be each have a webpage hosted on a 68k (i know that isn't an option for everybody here), host huge network 68k games via internet, use a distributed client that supports 68k, the list can go on.

sorry if I seem like i'm smoking the funky smoke, late night + early morning = bad.
