I've got a toast image file that I want to burn to CD, but have no clue as to how to do that.I've got Toast OEM 4.0.1, with a Yamaha 4x2x6 in an external SCSI case connected to my recently purchased Q900. ---------------- Under the hat... |

All you need to do is mount the image, in other words double-click on it from the finder and assuming you have Toast installed properly, it should mount a disk on the desktop just like it was a CD that you put into the machine. Then, launch Toast, select data (or audio, or whatever the image content happens to be), and drag the icon for the disk you just mounted into Toast's window. Hit record and you're good to go!666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 I Have No Legs! |

I thought Toast had a "burn from image" or something option, which would be more 'correct.'~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0

Most of the time it wouldn't matter much - but with CDs that are multi-volume, especially multi-volume-different-format-and-some-other-neat-stuff, then that'll mess them - the burn-from-image option is the way to go then. I have no clue exactly which options to pick to do this, but it's absolutely necessary for say, A/UX... which is a small 7.1 partition and a larger (400mb or so) A/UX Unix partition. dana (dana (dana (dana (recursive, 1))));

Apparently the OEM version of Toast has no capabilities for disk images. :(What gets me is that Easy CD Creator for Windows OEM (the Wintel equivalent to Toast OEM) handles ISO image files perfectly. However, I'm not sure if a disk image created with Toast is compatible with the ISO format or not. Oh well.... ---------------- Under the hat... |

There's a full version of Toast 3.x on our hotline server that you should download, I've used it to burn ISO's from my Quadra 840av without any issue.666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 I Have No Legs! |

Where exactly is it on the Hotline server? I've looked, but only see one for Toast 5. ---------------- Under the hat... |

Hmmm, it was up there. Well, I have it at home, so I can just re-upload it there tonight.666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 I Have No Legs! |

4.1.2 Deluxe took care of my problems. I've burned a few CDs of image and ISO files.I even found a working bank of 4MB simms for my 900, bringing it up to 64MB. Woohoo! ---------------- Under the hat... |
