I have:
*Q800 mobo
*Q610 mobo
*Centris 610 sans cd drive

I need:
*Q800 style tower case - A number of power macs had the same case design. The 8500 springs to mind
*An internal cd drive
*A power supply for a Q800 / Q840av / PM8100 (+?)
*I might need a nubus video card, I'll find out once something I ordered arrives.

Anyone see any possible trades? For trades I'd also consider parting with a IIsi, an LCII, and MAYBE an LCIII. I've also got a couple adb keyboards and mice, if anyone wants them. Also, I have another post listing a hard drive I have. Surely there is SOMETHING here that someone wants to trade! I guess if no one proposes any trades, I'd entertain fair prices on the motherboards, C610, IIsi and LCII. I'd rather get the things I need in return, though.

I have an Apple OEM 4x SCSI CD-ROM and an Apple OEM 8-bit color nubus video card that I now have no use for. However, as far as what you have listed, none of it would be very useful to me, not even the 80-pin, 1GB HD. Hmmm....you sure there's nothing else you got to trade?

Umm...I've got a IIGS, an 800k disk drive, a classic with no insides, a PB150 in bad shape...Hey, I've got a ton of NES stuff! Sure, it's not mac, but didn't the nes have the same processor as the II or something? I know the IIGS used the same chip as the SNES. Anyway, I can trade nintendo stuff, or uh...well, what are you looking for? I might have one in some box somewhere.

Well, I know the Sega Gensis used an 68000!

The PB150, does it have a working hard drive, and if so how big is it? What kinda NES stuff? Any SNES games?

The PB has a working 120meg HD. I haven't got much SNES stuff...I'd rather not dip into my personal collection there. I've got tons of NES systems, though, and about 40 games.

I'm kinda tired of my NES, but my SNES has no games at all so I'm trying to get anything I can for it. Preferably Bomberman 2, Mario All-Stars, Super-Metroid and (of course) Chrono Trigger, as well as any other SFC games.

The 120MB hard drive would be nice, though! The 230MB in my Duo 280 seems to have assumed room temperature. What OS does it have on it? I'll trade the CD-ROM and the vid card for the 120MB drive and something else small. Email me a list of your NES games and any SNES games you'd part with.

OK, cine and I have a deal worked out for the stuff mentioned. The other stuff is still up for trade though. Also, I'm going to have a number of scsi, ide, and floppy ribbons soon, but I haven't got exact numbers on any of them. Still looking for a case...

First off, the Quadra 8xx/ Power Mac 8xxx series system look alike from the front, but on the back they are very different. The Quadra 800 and Power Mac 8100 have different port arrangement on the back, and the 8500 won't match up either, due to it's PCI slots and AV card.

The power supply for the Quadra 800/840AV is different that the one used in the 8100. Thus the power supply from an Q800 won't connect to the motherboard of a PM 8100.

Just to let you know and not make my mistake. I had purchased a Power Mac 8100/100 logic board to upgrade my Quadra 800, and low and behold, the ports don't match, and the power supply doesn't connect. I was bummed.

Thanks - I would have made that mistake. In that case, I need a power supply for a Q800/840av and a case for the same. Now that I think about it, though, I wonder if an 840av would have a slightly different case than an 800 because of the video in/out? I've never come across either so...

In any case, I'd take either. I have mobos for both (though I haven't been guranteed that the 840av mobo works )

I've done some checking, and it turns out that the Q8xx and PM8xxx DID use the same power supplies, but had different cables to connect the motherboards. Interesting method of doing it, huh? So, if anyone has a power supply for one of those, that'll do fine, and I can find myself the right kind of motherboard cable somewhere, I hope. I saw one of eBay, but it was a lot.
