Our Centris:

500 MB SCSI HD
2x Sony CD-ROM|caddy
Macintosh Display Card 670
1.44" OverDrive ;[
24 MB RAM

Any suggestions that will help us?

I just have a few questions:

1)What are you doing right before the crash?

2)What OS are you using?

At what point did it crash in the startup prosses, can you start up with the system disks.

7.7.5 was a special release ^_^

It crashes when it gets to the desktop. I don't know about the startup floppies, will check later.

During the boot process, hold down the "Shift" key. It sounds like a startup item is causing your pains. This will disable the extensions and even the startup items (IIRC).

If "FIREWIRE IS FAST" method not work.Try to remove the OSL Libary or
download NAV 5.X.Bye!!!!

Hold down the "space" key to get the extensions manager and select "mac os base" and if that works it narrows alot of extensions out.
