No not one of those dodgy extacy affairs.

What I am thinking is that we might need a wharehouse if we get loadsa 68kmacs.

But then I'm thinking,I know how we can get big respected publications interested in us & how we can make some money.

We should have a 68k show. Atari still have shows & they are very popular.

We organize the event & of course only 68k macs are in use.

We charge money for entry & we invite journalists from the likes of Macformat & that other one, the online publication that I think Coxy likes macaddict.

Everybody loves a party & with the 68k av's it should be a veritable auditory & visual treat.

How sad! Reminds me of the time, about 1955, when on a B&O train running through an Ohio yard, I saw a long line of old steam locomotives, just waiting to be hauled off for scrap....

Who, or what, is the Rev. Awdry?

/Mr Lynn

BTW, for those farther up the thread, the spelling is 'warehouse'.

He wrote the entire series of series, about Thomas & other engines which eventually became the TV series we know and love.

Yup! I've actually seen all of the 'old-school' episodes, and most of the newer ones, too. I've also read EVERY story that's he's written, and have an early edition collection of some of the stories.

I just started re-watching with my son.

We bought a Thomas projector of ebay as well as getting videos from the library & buying second hand books.

Check this out:

The origional books very clearly show Thomas & friends with a "pug" nose whereas this is less pronounced in later versions. The origional stories feature the families of the staff, but this is replaced in the later versions where it is treated as a well run bussiness.

Britt Allcroft has just been bought out by the company who own Bob the Builder.

Bob the Builder got into trouble recently because he dosn't follow health & saftey rules.(he is from the south & this is a general racial view of southerners (uk) that they are more interested in money than safety.

I like watching the Thomas's with Ringo Starr cos Thomas's island of Sodor must be just off the coast of liverpool & I am homesick(Derby's culture is very borrowed from Manchester & Salford).

Derbyshire has had a good showing recently with;

Teletubbies narrator has Derbyshire accent as does;

Bill & Ben
Okie Doke

The documentary's about Chatsworth house(though this is a building in Derbyshire)

Big Brother(the narrator)

we also have;

Peak Practice

& one that I cant remember the name of that starred James Bolam.

We also find that the village of Ely(the plague village) in Derbyshire has had alot of interest cos we let American scientists find out how alot of the residents of the villiage survived the plague because they had a special gene.

I was spitting feathers when I heard, here the UK is needing more money & we just say oh here you go American scientists we have somthing valuable but you can just take it.

We could have held the world to ransom ie:

"we will infect you with plague but we will survive"

problem is we are a nice bunch & we shared our little gift.

But what thanks do we get?

America just started a banana war with us.

I think alot of countries may be cringing & hiding behind a sofa in case America dosnt like something they do.

I have an attitude dude.
lol

America needs to decide if it wishes to be benevelant or malevalant, but at the moment alot of countries view America as "an aggressive country"

My view of America is split in two as I know what the "country" has been up to, on the other hand I have met alot of good natured Americans through cyberspace.

Should I post this?

This topic is harldy 68k & if I were mod I would consider a lock on this & other politically motivated links.
