Once again Caltech is clearing out its closets. Any one who lives near Pasadena is welcome to come get some stuff. I might consider shipping some parts (not whole machines) if you pay shipping or otherwise make it worth my trouble. First come first serve. What's available: Performa: likely a 630, no case, no drive, includes RAM, floppy and CDROM
7200: motherboard case and floppy (no ram, vram, cache, drive, or ROM) 6100/66: has everything including a DOS compatibility card Mac II: sitting in my room right now, can't get it to boot even though it looks ok inside Apple Multiscan 15" 40MB external SCSI drive (no SCSI terminator) Dozen assorted Sparc Stations (SparcStation 1, 1+ and 2) with keyboards, a couple of mice and some software/manuals SparcServer 670MP: about the size of a minifridge, may be spoken for already That's it I think. If you're a college student, I highly suggest that you get to know the IT guys at your school. This is the second time they've hooked me up. mathgeek 68K Macs Liberated: LC, Performa 636 My Powerbook 1400 page http://www.its.caltech.edu/~dgoulet/1400/index.html Edited by - mathgeek on 19 Jul 2002 17:54:11 |

Ooooh, more goodies! Nothing I really need though...wait, how's the 7200's case? Is it banged-up/scratched all to hell? I might want to put a new case on my 7500 because I did such a crappy paintjob on it. 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 I Have No Legs! |

If I remember right, it's in perfect condition. If you really want it, I'll go get it. mathgeek 68K Macs Liberated: LC, Performa 636, Mac Classic II My Powerbook 1400 page http://www.its.caltech.edu/~dgoulet/1400 |

Yeah, I'll take it. I might as well start over with a clean slate, and I might be able to use some of the other case/mobo parts. Oh yeah, I could use that Multiscan 15", too. I had one, but it got busted and I had to throw it away.666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 I Have No Legs! |

Hi, I was wondering if any of that stuff is still available? I'm in the LA area. I am interested in the 6100/66, external SCSI drive, and the Sparc Station parts. Thanks.Sean 68k Macs Liberated: Quadra 950; Macintosh II; Macintosh IIsi. Edited by - clancychem on 25 Jul 2002 00:20:37

The 6100 is still available, but I think the ROM is no good. I've had some troubles booting it. The hard drive works, I get a start up chime, but after that, nothing, not even a blinking question mark or sad mac. There are still 9 SparcStations all of which have 4-8MB of RAM, 250MB drives and 20-40Mhz processors. There's no guarantee that the stuff hasn't been trashed yet, so if you want something you should decide fast. mathgeek 68K Macs Liberated: LC, Performa 636, Mac Classic II My Powerbook 1400 page http://www.its.caltech.edu/~dgoulet/1400 |

Aha! That worked! I had no idea a 6100 wouldn't boot with a dead PRAM battery. I thought that the date and time would get messed up and nothing else. Interesting. Thanks! mathgeek 68K Macs Liberated: LC, Performa 636, Mac Classic II My Powerbook 1400 page http://www.its.caltech.edu/~dgoulet/1400 |
