I'm back! I'm spending my Summer in upstate NY (aka The Catskills, the Borscht Belt, etc.) working in a dry goods store. It's much cooler there than in NYC, and the place I'm staying at is great. The only problems are that everything is very far away (I HATE these Hicktowns!) and I don't have a phone line in my bungalow yet (no internet access; I'm staying in the city today and tomorrow for MacWorld). Anyway, I was wondering how my 68k-liberating student comrades are spending their summers. Does anyone else have a job, or are you guys just hanging out? PS: I got my Q700's last week. One has what looks like M$ office on it, and the other has a bunch of utilities, apps (mostly networking apps), and what I think is a Supermac video capture card. I'll try to upload some of those to the 68kmla server tomorrow if I have time.Wonko The Sane Engineer-in-training 3 Macs Liberated "You can't possibly be a scientist if you mind people thinking that you're a fool."- Wonko The Sane |

Did some hiking, saw some movies, sweated a lot in Southern California. Now I'm developing a mathematical model of malignant melanoma metastases (say that 10 times fast). I also spend a lot of time groveling with my advisor for his old beige G3 since he just got a dual 1GHz G4 with cinema display. My girl friend and I mix up one drink a day from a bartender's guide and then rank it on a 1 to 10 scale. Current leader: Chelsea Sidecar(9.0) mathgeek
