OK, I have one ip address and i'm wanting to host more than one webpage using www.dyndns.org or similar service. I want each page to have it's own name: is it possible with existing software to look for certain requested names or is it going to be a port thing. for example at dyndns.org i say the this name is at this ip address port 5001 and the next is 5002. On the server end each different server software would be open for certain ports so then when i say webpage1.dyndns.org the dyndns service associates that webpage with port 5001 and sends it to my ip address where the server open to port 5001 would send the html. so in the end i would have 3-4 host names all going towards the same ip address spitting out different page for each.

You could use say an i tools account place a folder in each website and in that older place you web page files and keep the images on your HD So all you would have to do is example: http://homepage.mac.com/whatever/something

TCP/IP server : 216.130.83.218 L: 68kmla p:68000
Http Server URL: Http://homepage.mac.com/catsdorule/ (Web access to manuals)
FTP Server: ftp://216.130.83.218/Library/WebServer/documents l/p 68kmla/68000Go to Top of Page

Yes, what your saying is right on the ball. I have not done this with webpages per say, But i did try it with Hotline and it worked fine for two servers. So im assuming it would work that way too.

There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path.

You can use dyndns's webhop service, where you put in the IP addy and then page name lets say you had a page about mac, and a page about music. you could do something like this 67.241.0.7/mac.html and 67.241.0.7/music.html and it will go right to the different pages.
