Q700 definitely. The first tower (although it wasnt really a tower). There was always something more masculine about a tower, but thats not a subject I feel comfortable talking about ;-). Plus, I have a trusty q700 thats been working since i bought it (new) without a hitch.Weapons Expert VanMan2004 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Number of 68ks Liberated: 15.5 |

i guess it was the first purpose built tower, the freakin' name on it is vertical if you lay it flat! i was going to say the IIx was the first tower and the IIci was the second, but they had the names set for horizontal use. i LOVE the teensy removable feets on my IIci! i got a Quadra 700 for $5 a couple of weeks ago, interesting machine.jt ™. Hmm, I'm someone who is not too fast these days, but powerful and cool. So I'll say a IIfx, even though I've never owned/seen one.~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City v3.0

I'd be a IIci. Solidly built, most often found laying down with something on top of me but occasionally actually found standing up Seriously I don't really know. I get so many aches and pains (and at only 21!!) I'd probably be more akin to a Windblows PC - especially during my finals last month, as I was permanantly in a state of almost breaking down (like Windblows!). At the moment I'm feeling a bit like a newly released Mac - I'm powerful and useful and well qualified but, apart from a select few, no one seems to know how good I actually am. Also I think my marketing strategy is crooked. A bit like Mr. Jobs' tactics, I don't think I'm going all the right way at selling myself to potential employers! Anyhoo. Kepp it real - I'm in an internet cafe in Edinburgh (still). -- Mark Benson FlatPackMacs http://fpm.gotdns.com 2nd Lieutenant - 68kMLA, LC Quartermaster Flat Packing Macs for 68k MLA airlift excercises Macs Liberated = 14! |

I'm definitely a Mac II because:1) I am relic from the early days of computing (boy, I remember when prepeecees had 16k RAM and we were proud of it too!) 2) I've still got some spunk in me and I still work OK (I may not be as fast as all those new whippersnappers, but I get the job done) 3) I'm expandable (I'm always ready for a new card, new bit'o software, etc. I have expanded about the middle too, but thats another issue entirely) G4From128k by Day: Mild-Mannered Engineer and Trapeze(tm) Artist by Night: Colonel of Truth, Justice, and the Macintosh Way Reserve Officer in 68kMLA Cantankerous Coot Contingent & User of the Hockey Puck Mouse of Radial Symmetry |

I would have to split it down to my various conponents:Overall: Quadra 840AV; Old, but still useful. Expandable, and AV oriented. Physical: Mac 512K; the codename says it all... "FatMac" *or* Mac Portable; about 30 lbs overweight. Mental: Quadra 950; solid performer, with extensive memory and storage space. ------------------ Captain Z - Mobile Operations Commander 68K Macintosh Liberation Army 20 68K Macs Liberated Visit Captain Z's Starbase of EV Stuff Edited by - Captain Z on 16 Jul 2002 09:32:53 |

Mentally, though, i'd be a Performa 5200. Overloaded and underpowered, and a bit finicky at times. A couple of years ago, though, i would have been an iMac DV SE. Popular with girls, powerful, useful, and cute (well at least thats what they used to say, anyway...). -------------------------- Pizzabox LCs RULE!!!!!!!
