Some fishing around in the dumpster outside the school up the road from my house has turned up the following items...

LC 575 - seems very clean, missing rear cover, hard drive destroyed, does not power up
2x Quicktake 150 close-up lenses
1x nice 15' Diamond View monitor - works great!
A bunch of old Apple manuals (including PB 150 and system 6.04)

A shame about the LC. I can't see any obvious reason why it wouldn't power up. I've removed the case and tested the fuse onthe power board, but when I switch her on there is nothing.

Cheers!

Uuuummm...remember, with the 575, when you switch 'er on at the back, that doesn't neccessarily boot it...it just starts pullin' in the juice! To start it, you need the switch at the back on, and then you press the pwoer key on the keyboard. If this doesn't do anything, (like as in the fan doesn't spin, there's no sound or *anything*), then the analog/power board is dead.

Either way, hope you get it going, those things are sex-y!

Nice one! I got an AppleVision 14" something that I'm gonna test next week - it was rained upon while sitting next to the dumpster.

Wayhay! Switch PLUS keyboard power key did the trick. It boots of an 8.1 CD like a champ. Lovely sharp little screen. Now all I gotta do is drop in a HDD. Oh, and cover that big hole in its bum... anyone got a spare LC 575 rear cover?

Cheers!

Not sure if I'd call it sexy... not like certain other close relatives who shall remain nameless...

This one has 20mb RAM and (I think) and 8x CD-ROM. Also an LC RJ-45 ethernet card.

Currently tossing up as to whether to turn it into my Apple //e or not.

Cheers!

NICE! Oh well, sounds like you got a nice machine. Btw, about the sex issue, is that other close relative a particular cute lil creature we all know called the MicroQuadra?
