As your humble mod, I promise to make any and all of my second-gen-mac know-how available to you whenever I'm online. Speaking of which, here's my schedule of when I should be available: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM and 6:30PM-9:30PM (Pacific Standard Time)
I may occasionally be available on the weekends, but not likely. I'm usually out in the meat world then.
Mac II's that I own:
IIfx - 40 MHz 030
System 7.5.3, 80 MB of RAM, 7,200 RPM 2.1 GB 50-pin HD, dual 1.44 floppy drives
Augmentations: RasterOps 24-bit Video card, Pro Audio Spectrum 16-bit card with 4-channel RCA + MIDI breakout box, DigitalFilm Video Capture card (missing breakout box), ATTO SCSI II card, RJ45 10/100 ethernet card
Future Plans: Max out the RAM at 128MB, either overclock it to 50 MHz or add a 040 upgrade card, replace the ATTO SCSI card with an FWB Jackhammer, replace the 2.1GB drive with at least a 4GB 68-pin drive, replace the PAS-16 card with an AudioMedia II card and find the darn breakout box that goes to the DigitalFilm card.
Main uses: Four-channel digital audio mixer receiving composite audio from my 7500 and from my home stereo, simultaneously. If I ever get a hold of the pesky breakout box that goes to the DigitalFilm card, I'll also use it as a video capture workstation. Keep in mind that it will never be used to edit/render audio or video, just capture it!
IIci - 25MHz 030
System 7.6.1, 32 MB of RAM, 500 MB Apple OEM HD, single 1.44 floppy drive
Augmentations: Apple OEM cache card, Apple 8-bit multiscan video card
Future Plans: Max the RAM out at 128MB, add a Daystar 100 MHz PPC upgrade card in place of the cache card, add the ATTO SCSI II card, the 2.1GB hard drive and the PAS 16 cards from the IIfx, replace the 8-bit multiscan card with an ethernet card, install nothing but OS 8.6 and iTunes 2.
Main uses: Still in project status. Eventually, though, after all the above augmentations have been done, I'm going to hack the innards into something like a stereo deck and use it as an mp3 player connected to my home stereo with no monitor. It will basically just play it's library of MP3's continuously in iTunes, and will be remotely controlled and updated with fresh tracks via ethernet from the 7500.
