It started out with 2 180s and a 170, all dead. Did some chanting, swearing, made a sacrifice or two any who, one of the 180s came alive but with the "?", hooked up ext HD booted into 7.6.1, 8 MB Ram no sign of int. HD. I took a chance and tore into the other 180 and pulled 120 MB drive and a Ram card. Put in the new stuff, bingo! Now I have a 180 with 14 RAM! and 120 just need some software! "Holy crap! Ok so, I used the HD from the dead 180, and a couple of screws from the 170. I've had the 170 since May and tried it once with no result. Figured what the hell and tried again, and the damn thing worked! 8 ram and 230 HD with 7.1! I still don't have an internet Mac so getting software is tough. My wife's PC doesn't do well for downloads. I need icab on a CD a long with what ever control panels for Internet, all my 68K laptops (180, 170, 230) have modems that I think work. Anyone wanna burn me a disc that my old ext cd rom drive an read?"Holy crap! A Mac can do that!"-Every PC user I talk to 68K MLA: Black OPs |
