I realise that this isn't an issue with the site, but i don't really think there's a better place to post it, so i'll post it here.

I recently downloaded iCab so i could try and get rid of Internet Exploder. However, the Forums don't work in iCab. It doesn't load, and it says "The specified server cannot be found." I've tried both the 68kmla.com addy as well as the direct LitClassics addy. Could someone (perferably ~Coxy, since he knows this place and server better than the rest of us) give me a bit of help if its something to do with my browser configuration?

I just rememberd. The forums work fine in the Classic version of iCab, although it does what i mentioned above in the OS X version of iCab.

NN 4.73 works better here than iCab on my 466 under 9.1, but it's really crappy on AF and arstech. MAF seems about the same for both. AF and arstech are MUCH better using iCab than NN 4.73.

one day i'll reload 10.1 on the new drive and be using OmniWeb.

i try to excorcize exploder code wherever i find it and it just keeps growing back like cancer.

I blame iCab!

The forums have worked fined in the many hours I've tried them, in
-Netscape 4.7 for Windoze
-IE 5, 5.5 and 6 for Windoze
-Mozilla for Windoze
-Netscape for IRIX
-Mozilla for Linux
-IE 5 for Classic
-IE 5.1 and 5.2 for Mac OS X
-OmniWeb whatever for OS X

your results may vary!

Seriously, I have no idea why the server would not be found unless it's litclassics itself going down.

Use OmniWeb in X instead. It's multithreaded, so it works great when you have tons of windows open, such as when you're reading the forums.

The forums also work perfectly with Netscape for Linux (whatever came with LinuxPPC 2000 Q4) and OmniWeb for OpenStep. I'll try the QNX single floppy boot disk in VPC and report back if it works.

Yep! I downloaded Mozilla, and everything's fine now, and there is once again peace in the world.

It wasn't the server. It always worked fine in Internet Exploder.

Weird, iCab is one of the best browsers I've used on a mac, I never had any problems with it.
