Oh yes. We discussed this on comp.sys.next.advocacy. They have indeed removed the beautiful spinning CD (or beachball, as some people like to call it) and replaced it with a crappy looking Aqua ball. Nobody seems to like it.I haven't seen the smiley face before now, but I don't like it too much. Looks like something out of Hello Kitty now. Personally, I wish that Apple would make OS X more NeXT-like, but I know that they'll just dumb it down some more. Official 68kMLA Music and NeXT Expert

I've seen the new blue spinner and it actually looks cool. It doesn't really spin, but it doesn't just sit there. It's cool, but apple is says that we'll never see it. (due to the fact that they done tons of optimizations...) as far as the new happy mac symbol, i agree, it sucks. Maybe Jobs never really sobered up._______________________
