Oh yes. We discussed this on comp.sys.next.advocacy. They have indeed removed the beautiful spinning CD (or beachball, as some people like to call it) and replaced it with a crappy looking Aqua ball. Nobody seems to like it.I haven't seen the smiley face before now, but I don't like it too much. Looks like something out of Hello Kitty now. Personally, I wish that Apple would make OS X more NeXT-like, but I know that they'll just dumb it down some more. I've seen the new blue spinner and it actually looks cool. It doesn't really spin, but it doesn't just sit there. It's cool, but apple is says that we'll never see it. (due to the fact that they done tons of optimizations...) as far as the new happy mac symbol, i agree, it sucks. Maybe Jobs never really sobered up._______________________ Sgt. This looks like its real too, see what I hear Apple is making alll new macs only able to boot from OS X on, so this might happen, I just hope they change the start up sound too.Jeremy "I'll see you on the Dark Side Of The Moon" - Pink Floyd Covert Ops 68k Hacks General Macs Liberated:19 ENTER THROUGH THE GATES |

Hey that link isn't valid anymore! When I click on it the mac.com page comes up and states that the members page can not be found!!!!! I think someone hit to close to the Apple's core and ended up getting booted!!??!?!General LeeMac M.A.C ( Mac Action Commando) Phantom OPS Trading Post Commander 68k's Liberated 0004 www.68kmla.com |
