what would be the workability of makeing a tablet color classic? or even an older model mac. is there any pen based ADB tablet mice in existance? if not, then thast's the end of that... I thought since people were rigging up their color clssics with LCd screens to make room for extra HDs or MO drives, why not use that principal in a tablet mac?! THNx "AND WE SHALL PREVAIL"

At the local surplus place they had a box of huge adb tablets, i think wacom made them. While I was considering picking them up, there was a dude there and told me that they needed a certain adapter in addition to what was there. I didn't know what he was talking about and forgot about them. A year later the box is still there. I'm not too interested in getting them, but the point of the story is that there are adb tablets._______________________ Sgt. Thelip Heavy Weapons Specialist 950 division Liberated Macs: 12 |

What would be ideal for a hack like this would be one of the Wacom tablets that has an LCD built into its surface. I know they made USB ones, but I don't know if versions were ever made for the older Macs. There was also a company that made tablet Macs for disabled people (and maybe still do). I have never actually seem one for sale, but if a busted one could be found, it might contain the parts needed for a Color Classic tablet hack.AnubisTTP, Tank Commander, Bolo Division 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Macs Liberated:21 |

I'm not sure what king of adaptor that guy was refering too. I got an excellent deal on a unopened A4 Wacom tablet last year and its one of the best things I ever bought. They take power from the ADB port so no power block is needed there. The only other bits are your pens and mice which you can pick up eBay and you can download the softwre from Wacom. The only thing to remember is there's no way to make these work under os X unless you post them off to Wacom to have the ADB interface swapped for a USB one.
