In the last couple of weeks, two Macs have died. One contraband, one 68k. The names of these will be reported shortly. One has suffered from a power supply blowout, the other has suffered from a bad interconnect board. The deceased are:

Power Macintosh 8100/110AV
Macintosh PowerBook 165c

I have tried, and unfortunately, new parts cannot be sourced for said Macs, as of yet. If there were no PAF, i would go straight onto eBay and secure some life savers, but unfortunately, i can only buy stuff locally. A Macintosh PowerBook 180c also died a couple of months ago, after finally coming to a good home, and spending time getting some TLC for about 4 days.

Weep not! There are two SEs in San Francisco begging for a home! See the 'Red Alert' thread in General Discussions....

Hey there maclover, just a thought...

If the PAF precludes you accepting my spare power supply... what are the chances that you'd part with your deceased 8100?

lemme know!

Cheers!

I would just like to pass a thought that an LCIII passed by today. It was in very bad state, bottom half of the case was broken up inside. Thankfully she filled out some organ donor forms and was thus parted out for future recycling.

I also finally changed the face plate of my SE/30 <Harkonnen> today which finally commited the last remains of what was once my forth SE/30 to the trashs, haviong vented the damaged tube ready for disposal.

a) PAF forbids it
b) See a), and add the fact that you can take my Mac when you pry it from my cold dead hands... *grabs tightly onto gutted sad 8100*

about that PSU though, i SHOULD ask them, to see if i can. Dad says, "Don't ask, don't get." Time to take that idea for a spin...
