Today while I was out and about, I cam across an unlabled Classic Mac at the Salvation Army store. A dug it out of the pile of electronics it was burried in, so I could take a look at the back.

Model Number: M0001
An original Mac 128K, original keyboard, mouse, in good condition. There was a SCSI port on the back of the system, which I am guessing was some sort of a upgrade.

Unfortunetly, it was marked at $20, and I only had $10 on me, so I had to put it back.

Damn I wish I could have gotten it...

(BTW -anyone on Long Island, NY, USA, the Salvation Army store in question is located in Hauppauge, just down the road from the Long Island Expressway exit 55, at the intersection of Wheeler Rd. and Motor Pkwy.)

I've seen mint 128k's fetch over $150 on eBay. I'm guessing that if you had to dig for it it was in rough shape, but it's still worth alot more than $20.

(in other words, GO BACK THERE NOW!!!)

you could have had them set it aside for you while you went home to get that extra ten dollars...

alot of s.a. stores have 'lay away'. so, say you found 10 macs there for a total of $200, they hold them while you make payments
