Setup:
Mac IIcx
20 meg RAM
250 meg SCSI HD
Apple 150e CD drive

I've got the A/UX 3.0 CD, and the boot floppy. The dialog that comes up eventually gets stuck on "Launching" indefinetely.
The CD is accessible by the drive, and the little busy light flashes like crazy until it gets to "Launching", and then stops and freezes the machine. What gives?

IIcx = 68030 @ 16 MHz. I thought everybody knew that!
c = compact
x = expanded
(Also: i = integrated+expanded, s = slimline, v = crap )

Try another floppy disk. I have a similar problem with a 7.5 boot disk, and I think the problem is the floppy itself.

Second that - in all the time I've spent fooling with Mac's, getting them to boot from floppies has given me more headaches than anything else. It helps to make the floppy in another SWIM drive (another mac of similar vintage, if you have one of those around and can access the floppy image files from it somehow.)

Never give up until you've made the floppy about 4 times on 4 different disks.
