BWAHAHAHAH!!!!....

I found a different one here:

http://anrp.irulethe.net/newton/

it says over tcp/ip, so i'm guessing it would work via ethernet... who knows. i'll try it later.

I want to know is whether Newton transfer will work over a LocalTalk-Ethernet bridge in Classic. Maybe I should test it myself

You know, i've wondered the same thing. I have 2 different localtalk adapters that i could try out. Tomorrow if i've got some time, i'll play around with it. Where you talking about asante (and etc) boxes or software (possible 68k box)?

What would be nice is if somebody can make a interconnect adapter (2x00) for usb. But that would require a usb driver and still the software in osx, so it'd probably be way more work that it's worth. I've spent the past few days cruisin' for newton sites and they're all gone or going. I signed back on the newton talk list to see what's going on in the newton world. If guyot's ata support works, along with the mp3 player that i found, then eventually a real osx solution will pop up.

OK, i had success!!! So far, i started up classic and connected my 2000 via ethernet. That leaves me to believe that the localtalk adapter should work just fine, my only concern was whether NCU would work in classic, but it did. SWWWWIIIZZZEEEETTT!...

I'll try the LT adapter thing tomorrow. peace

One more thing, the keyboard worked too!! btw, is this old news? i honestly haven't read all the posts here in the newton section, so i'll lay off the excitement if this isn't as great as i think it is.
