I am repairing an ibook for a friend, because he somehow spilled water on it. The speaker is completely dead. I can not find anything that will fit in it, but I know some of those global villiage teleport/bronze modems have a 1 watt 2.5cm speaker in them.  If you have one of those teleport/bronze modems that is dead, or you just don't want it, let me know! CrapShack used to carry a speaker that would work, but now they only care about selling cell phones and compukes. Artillery Commander/Engineer, 68kMLA

I have one! It's a Teleport 14.4k external that I have absolutely no desire to keep. I can send the whole thing or fish the speaker out, either way.Whaddya got in trade?  666th poster and 666th thread-creator

I don't have anything to trade, maybe you can just throw it in with that duo stuff you're sending to macdaddy (my brother). That would eliminate the extra shipping charges. The speaker is hard to pull without damaging it, so I want the entire thing. I used one from a 2400 baud for a sound system in a model train  Artillery Commander/Engineer, 68kMLA

i used to deride their stuff constantly, until a few years back, a friend who's an EE said that the quality of their in-house brands had taken a turn for the better and i was forced to agree after buying a few things there again.the parts selection has been getting worse and worse, but unfortunately, they're just about the only game in town, i think there are only 2 independent parts sources left in the big apple! jt  ™.

i don't know what was worse, when i went into one CrapShack that DIDN'T hace a PRAM batt when i went in for one or when the second one did and they were $10.99 EACH!  BLEH!jt ™.
