What kind of laptop in good condition would you get for around $150 US on eBay? Basically laptop + working battery + PSU, can you give me a rough idea?

About a Pentium 166, with CD-ROM. Or do you mean just Mac-type Laptops?

You could get a really nice Duo 2300c package for that much, too. By package I mean all kinds of Docks and accessories, of course.

Yeah, Mac laptops, really.
Would a 3400 be stretching it, or is a 1400 more likely?

Yeah, definitely a 1400, Coxy. A 3400 would go for more like $250 (or more) here!
