This guy seems to have an unending supply.

I got mine quite a bit cheaper... bit its not mint. Plus it was missing the Power Supply and Stylus (as you know ~Coxy), so I figure $200 odd is not bad for a really good one.

Mine's not getting as much use as I had planned. Mainly its acting as an alarm clock and shopping list notepad. I do have bigger plans for it though...

BTW, anyone know if its possible to d/l Quicktake images to a newton?

Cheers!

i'm guessing you want to download directly from the quickcam to the newton, and yes, it can be done. There was professional software back in the day that allowed for digital cameras to connect to your newton.

I was going to cut and paste an answer from a a big page from this old newt, but decided against it. I don't know the copyright laws all that well. but to paraphrase. you need software called tibet which the author has released serial numbers so you can use it. Here are the links....

ok, that probably won't go to the correct page. go to newton FAQ, then hardware at the top then it's one of the questions. Just search digital camera.

Ok i can't find the page for the software. It might not exist anymore. it was called tibet. I googled for it and found nothing but references to it, but not the page.

Does this mean that you'd be interested in trading/selling your eMate? If so, I'd sure be interested...
Thanks,

I've always wanted an eMate, they sound like excellent notebooks.

That's what I felt like when I missed the chance to buy one from poweron.com for $99.

Which InterConnect dongles did it come with? It's kind useless without at least a LocalTalk (Serial) one...

I've got a serial cable anyway, which works just fine. Plus a credit card modem, so it's now a pretty complete kit. All I'm really still hanging out for is a stylus that fits the slot inside (oh, yeah, plus airport...and a RAM upgrade...).

From memory I got it for $120.

Cheers!

What, does it have a serial port built in?
