I found this program that allows you to share your scsi apple scanner over a network. I was wondering if anybody has tried this out. I'm in the process of completely rearranging my room and computer layout. This would help me get my apple color onescanner off my desk.

Here's the link incase anybody is also interested...

Wicked! Now, only if it worked in OS X...

yeah, i noticed that afterwards, but for some reason i can't get the scanner to work in x anyway, even using vuescan software, so i go into 9 and use something else that I have. I've moved the scanner to my floor and rearranged my whole desk so i probably won't mess with this app.

btw, the same company offers software to share ANY scsi device over your network. I thought that was interesting too.

I've still got the old IIcx (scanner) hooked up[ to my 950 for when I want to do any scanning... Linking would be cool.

Apple has this new thing for SCSI hard/removable media drives. it's called AppleTalk! And it's sooo cool!

ok, i'll just say that what i saw on version tracker, was called scsishare and ended up being an older version of what became scanshare.

being cynical gets you no where.

I was just keeping an eye out for my fellow comrades, if you don't like that then you can just take your "appletalk" and go someplace else, "FireWire is fast", IF THAT'S YOUR REAL NAME!?!

i thought appletalk only shared volumes. sharing and running devices is quite a different thing. SCSI is not a HDD interface or even a peripheral interface specifically, it's a general purpose computer interface.
