the iMac//c thread popped to the top again on fritter, bur there was an update to the site that proved interesting! i found this link on that site just now!

http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=2026966399

on the same page there are listings for three previous Lisa sales, but the links all lead to the recent $10k Lisa auction.

WOW!

for those interested, here is the first link from the start of the thread and the second one, they both were 6xxx hacks, the iMac//c designation on the thread was an error.

we have another thread here about the hacks too, but the point of my post was that freakin' $10k 68k!

fritter thread:

Not quite 10k but getting close. Man, if I'd only had the insight and $$$ to buy a Lisa back in the day.

Edit: After comparing photos in the 2 auctions, I'm now wondering if it's the same machine...hmmm.

i know somebody who owned a lisa and got rid of it back in the day. They donated it to their kids' school. And it was in the trash a week later... honest TRUE story.
