*Rant & Rave*Long ago I discovered that the majority of people lack any sense of DISCERNMENT - the ability to make qualitative judgements. Sadly, most humans, like sheep, only feel confident when moving in a group... the larger the better. In fact, the social pressures discouraging any sort of independant thought or action in our western society are so incredibly strong that all but the strongest voices of dissent are stamped out long before they have an opportunity to break into the public awareness. The hammerlock that media and marketing have on common opinion today would seem to be unbreakable. This is where Micro$oft's strength lies.
One of the few effective means for a "different" idea to break this barrier is for it to gain grassroots appeal. Fads, memes, viral marketing, whatever you like to call them, these are an extremely potent way of giving the status quo a kick in the booty.
As a mac user, I have many good reasons to hold a powerful grudge against Micro$oft. I followed with great disappointment the politically motivated collapse of the US DOJ case against these criminals, and have decided that grassroots guerilla action is the most effective means of fighting this cancer.
Therefore, I dedicate this thread to comments and links as to why Micro$oft should be terminated. Effective immediately.
