when it rains it pours! FOUR packages came in from eBay raids today! i am almost hip deep in little green cards with little black boxes on'em!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2023067515

between this, the load of freebies from this morning and the unfolding of the details of the Big@$$BoxLotSaga, my brain is fried!

here's the problem:

Duo Memory Cards, they've both got 44800 or 4800's on'em. that comes up as 512kx8 4M DRAM. one has 8 and the other has 16.

so WTF are the module's spec'd as? i can't figure out the capaciies cuz my brain is out to lunch, an' i ain'a even gonna try!!!!!

found info on one item already:

Sharp LQ9D011 640x480 Active Color (TFT) LCD

what is interesting is that i found generic interfaces for it!

http://www.earthlcd.com/controllers.htm
http://www.rtdusa.com/PC104/UM/video/cm110.htm
http://www.rtdusa.com/PC104/UM/video/cm112.htm

http://www.octagonsystems.com/MiscExpPages/2430.html

i didn't say they were inexpensive (or supported the mac) tho!

someday somebody is going to figure out how to drive all those PB-LCD's out there from a pizza Box!

iWish. iReally do wish.

BTW: Does anyone know anything about connecting a display assembly from either a PB180c or a PB100 to a DB-15 monitor port on a Mac? Would be cool.

those VGA-LCD adapters will work with many LCD's, but they are awefully pricey!

IIRC there was ONE PB100 external video upgrade back in the day, i'm sure i saved the clippings. it was probably from cary lu's macworld column, if you wanna search over there. if you should locate two of these RARE items, the second one is MINE! other than that, you have to watch for SCSI to CRT interfaces or the special SCSI driven powerbook monitor (portrait IIRC) for many early (video out-emasculated . . . B@$#@&*$!!!!!) PB's.
