Hi everyone, I'm new to the 68kmla, so if there's anything that needs explaining email me or reply to this.
New finds:

-powerbook duo 280c 24/320- good working order with cracked screen
- Quadra 700 8/40 (original hd replaced) working w/ bropken floppy drive (will replace it when I get the time)
- another duo 280c 8/320 with good screen and possibly bad hd. Also when I get the time I am going to switch screens with the other powerbook to get one working one.

BTW how do I determine my rank/position/job?

15 and a half liberated

Humans think they are smarter than dolphins because we build cars and buildings and start wars etc and all that dolphins do is swim in the water, eat fish and play around. Dolphins believe that they are smarter for exactly the same reasons. -Douglas Adams

Welcome to the barracks.

You can pick any rank/title/whatever (although the local brass reserve all the top titles like General and Grand Admiral(although what Admirals are doing in the army, I'll never know). A recent topic (Applying for a Rank and Position ) might given you an inkling what some others have picked.

BTW, I like your description of the floppy drive as "bropken" It may be just a typo, but it looks like good combo of "dropped" and "broken" to me. I have many a bropken digital tidbit myself.

Alright, Hotline may or not need explanation for you.
You'll need a client. A 68k client for HotLine is availible on one of the 68kMLA Hotline Servers. PPC and WIN clients are availible at http://www.bigredh.com

I propose that we add 'bropken' to our list of reserved words!
So we now have:
HAR!™ - loud/sarcastic laugh
feets® - protrusions on the Quadra 605
EvilHack™ - an evil hack to get something working
bropken™ - an amalgamtion of 'dropped' and 'broken'

I fell that I've missed one or two, though...

MongoBook™ - anything less svelte than a PB100 or a Duo

And what about the various AF's?

I've also taken to referring to the stuff on the bottom of an LC 475 "proto-feets," but I haven't actually used that one around the Army yet...
