:D. How's all been while I've been off n doing me-type-things? have your 605's all been running around happily, randomly chanting an "eeeeeeeek!" from time to time? mine has. happily serving near 600mb out a month. yay!.

And telling me when y'all posts links about me here n there around the net - the vhacks looks more popular than I thought... n I shall have to get m'self going to do a few more it seems :D.

Many more doing the *IX thing with the oldies? tell me all the goss, people!

Oooah - I read... that's dud :(. I've been peeking back at a few of the messages lately, but a 33Mhz one is good :D. Y'll need to find one of those LC475's on ebay that are advertised as "broken" - knowing very well it's a pram battery thing, then go thieve its motherboard, pop the jumper in and *bing* the feetsmac will be back up n trotting its way along.

They're cute lil things irl aren't they? :D

weeeeell... by definition no.

but it sounds good so I can let that stick. *grrrrrr* in a marsupialsaurus kinda way

ferals are animals gone wild. One problem we have here from time to time, (if not constantly) is a population of feral cats which attack n kill native wildlife. They're just normal cats that've been dumped/escaped and gone wild. Plain ol tabbies. Y'get feral pigs n goats n dogs too.

And feral people are the country hicks. like me!

i've got a little gossip! i stepped in it a bit when i posted my first (primitive) vhack, got mixed reviews here so i took it on the road, it's still not ready for primetime, (and never will be) but i think i pulled it out:

http://www.spymac.com/cgi-bin/pictures/index.pl?photo=957

i came to the defence of somebody else who had a very interesting technical twist, that didn't quite meet the aesthetic requirements of that crowd, check this idea out:

http://www.spymac.com/cgi-bin/pictures/index.pl?photo=928

now there's the desktop replacement people are wondering about. think duo in a cinema display format with an integrated microdock/battery/CPU module that swaps out for a dual proc dock II module for 12v & A/C connected use with an integrated charger port for topping off the (de)intregrated road-dock whenever necessary while doing graphics, presentations, auditing, consulting etc. at a clients offices or in a plane, vehicle, motel or dorm room!

the dual-proc module could integrate nicely with a stationary unit equipped with gonzo I/O ports-n-bays-n-connectivity stuff! maybe a REALLY BIG@$$ HDTV sized LCD screen unit too!

iLike! iDrool! iWant! iGet! . . . someday! . . . . . . . uSee!

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!

Great to see ya back in town! As you can see, quite a bit has been going on. While you were gone i rescued a naked PowerBook from doom, and when i get a chance, i shall use my magic powers to fuse this recently liberated 165c, fuse it with the case from a 180c, and (hopefully) end up with some more PowerBookFeets running around da house!

Either way, its great to have you back. Good luck outmaneovering my amount of posts!

Ditto to the above comments. In case you haven't noticed, you were missed

~Coxy, if you want to save some bandwidth, I'll burn off a CD for you. I'm doing one for MacMoose anyways, so its no hassle. I've got Apache for A/UX as well as some other shtuff which I can stick on there too.

Cheers!

That'd be great -- I'm really scared that the file will turn out to be dead after 143 meg...
I assume it's the A/UX 3 boot CD?

yeah...plus the upgrade to 3.1. What I'll do is just burn all the disk images to one CD and let you sort it out from there.

Cheers!

Aha! If you're needing another 605 (or 2) why don't you drop me a line next time you're down Sydney way? I've got a few here that would just love to be doing something useful!

Cheers!

I wanted that 605.
Alas, I can afford shipping from Sydney to Cincinnati.
