Hi, i have StuffIt Deluxe 3.0 on my "Classic II", and sometimes it can't read newer .sif files. i also have StuffIt Expender 7.5 on my PC that can read all files. is there a way to tell StuffIt 7.5 to create Stuffit 3.0 compatible files?thanks, ido. |

What you need is Stuffit 5.1.2. It's the newest version of Stuffit that will run on 68k's, and it can open even the newer 6.x version Stuffit files only available on PPC's and the Stuffit 7.x files created on PC's.666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Regular Disappear! Oh yeah, forgot about that little caveat. Now, here's the deal, SI 5.1.2 will run on 7.1, but you can't actually install it under 7.1. Since you do have 7.5.3, what you can do is make a 7.5.3 boot disk and boot from it in order to install it.You can look here for more help! 666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Regular Disappear! |
