Ok, incase nobody was reading the rest of my other post, I thought I'd put this up as a new thread. My server is up and going. It will be up 24/7 on my cable connection and probably won't have a space problem. I'm not going to have much time admin it. If there is anybody wanting to admin, email me. the server will be called the newton stylus alliance. (...don't ask....) it's at: nsa68k.kicks-as s.net (no space)
l/p is 68000
i hope that you all will use it. Maybe we can bring back something similar to the retromac68k days. BTW, my friend who owns the 8600 said there has to be ppc stuff, that was part of the deal.

That's correct, there are no files. I'm really busy most of the time and i probably won't be able to get files constantly. What i'm offering is a stable and reliable server for this group. As far as I care, I'll make somebody an admin and leave it to you all to get it going. If nobody wants to do that, I'm ok with it. I honestly don't care that much, i'll find other uses for the 8600. I'll leave it up for a month or so and if nothing comes of it, i'll probably shut it down. So it's up to you all.Sgt. Thelip

i connected just fine, here's the link incase you have it wrong. nsa68k.kicks-as s.net (there's no space, be sure you remove it if you copy+paste it.) l/p = 68000 Sgt. Thelip

i don't know what the problem is, i was able to connect from a friend's house this afternoon. i do have an update though. since nobody has upped anything, i've decided to leech everything from a carracho server called os6. i'm starting with their macintosh folder and it's 3.5 gig, it will take a few days to download and i'll continue with this until i have everything that i think people would like. this is to get it started i still hope that everyone will up what they have and can.Sgt. I'm using the newest one of download.com, I think I figured it out though. I'll report back tomorrow.  By the way I thought I might start my own hotline server I'll report back later. -------------------------------
