I have a couple decent Mac-related Hotline Server addresses that some of the soldiers have been asking me for and I keep forgetting them. Finally, today, I have them! Yeah...so, here they are!

Some 68k Server (yes, that really is it's name)
66.122.116.203:666
user/password: nonbot/nonbot

Run off a SE/30 with 32MB of RAM and a 1GB HDD, this server is usually pretty slow (0.5-12KBps), but tends to have a very good selection of stuff. Most of it is 68k (and very well organized), but there's also a large (though unorganized) PPC section, too.

Sci-Ed
202.28.156.5
user/password: browser/broswer

This server has a science/mathematical slant, and has mostly PPC/OSX apps, but alot of them (and rare stuff, too!) like Mathematica, et al. You won't be able to download anything until you chat with Phys, the sysop, to get an account.

FEEL FREE TO ADD YOUR OWN LINKS, PEOPLE!!!

I feel realy daft but IU am not sure what you are talking about or how to utilise the information.

If I use serial speed 230 should I place it in the system folder or in the extentions folder?

I went for a job & mentioned 68kmla. The lady interviewer was dead impressed!

It takes a while for the smileys window to open, I may take to editing them in by hand ie:- [:-/]

does that work?

Um, are you sure that it's really called that? If you got it from a bookmark that came with the 68k hotline client that's on the server, that might be the name I gave it when I made the bookmark. When I uploaded that client, I forgot to get rid of the bookmarks that other people might not want, and I think that name was just what I called it. Unless, that is, that I named it that because the server was really called that. You may be right, I can't remember. But I don't THINK it was really called that

Well, I'm not using the client that's on the 68k MLA server, I downloaded it from some Japanese site. The bookmark itself, though, I found on either laxx or some other server's link/bookmark folder.

That first server is a great find, Cinemafia. I'm getting a solid 5-6 kps off it.
Hotline sometimes scares me tho....has anyone here ever downloaded any infected software from an HL server?

In all of the gigs and gigs of stuff I've gotten from HL, the only problems I've run into are MPEG's that won't play, DivX movies with no audio, and software with no S/N. Not that I steal software, of course...

Not bad! Sometimes it really dips, but once and a while I can manage to get 10 or 12KBps off it. There's really a lot of good stuff on there if you have the time to dig through it all!

"Steal" is such a harsh term. I like to refer to it as an "extended trial period".
