I know. I use an S-Video cable as an extended ADB cable whenever i have the LC630 hooked up to the TV on my Presentation System. It works well.

The connectors themselves are identical and an S-Video cable makes an excellent replacement for an ADB cable. however, the cable itself is actualy multiple mini co-ax and an ADB cable would need to be very short not to cause signal degradation if used for video.

it might be interesting to test just how badly a rats nest of coiled ADB extensions could degrade a video signal. i really don't know enough about it to hazard a guess, but i wouldn't be surprised of one or two standard lengths of it would knock the definition down to the level that a composite video sognal on a single co-ax cable would be preferable.

crap-shack carries the male connectors and S-Video cable if somebody wants to make their own dual-purpose S-Video/ADB cables.
