It was probably more of a Balloon Help topic, but I can see why it is also a Lounge topic, kinda.~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit Mayor of NuBus City

I wish I could help ya! However I don't have a real mac with a modem. My EMU-Quadra 605 connects to the internet via NAT._________________ HotLineServer: scchicago.dynodns.net Website: http://scchicago.dynodns.net MyForumOnDelphi: http://forums.delphiforums.com/scchicago NOTE:HL AND HTTP SERVER ARE ONLY AVAILIBLE WHEN I'M ONLINE AIM:scchicago87 Yahoo!IM:scchicago |

Eudora does a pretty good job with email. FreePPP is a good dialer that works OK. I use it on my 6100 and it works well. If you have a SLIP connection, MacSLIP should work OK. At least it worked 4 years ago on my IIsi. Macs Liberated: SE (with SuperDrive), IIsi, Quadra 700, 6100, PB 5300, PowerMac 5400 PCs liberated from Windows: 3 |

Has my pram battery come back to life?I have successfully installed MagicMac & it is communicating with me in English.(buy your copy today from erm america would likley be systems for tommorow) After installing MagicMac it wanted me to set the date & timne. After installing the date & time on MagicMac my quadra has stopped the annoying "your date and time is not right" message and now my quadra knows the date and time. what upsets me? well os's do when you want to browse files. why would I want lots of odd icons scattered in an ununiformed array? I want a list of files sorted by type. I will have to get a pram battery I guess, but how would I make ther settings tso that no matter when I open a file or folder the files are listed rather than iconified, and how oh how can I make it use just one window instead of a new window for every folder? I get the feeling that a great many ppl have no comprehension of my frustration and I now throw down the gauntlet and suggest you all attempt to use TOS 2.06 (needing an atari st or above or an emulator Gemulator being my personal favourite) Magic & Tos 2.06 are this " simple, efficient and as close to rock solid as you can get" Now I ask a favour, can I have a list of Apple mac file types and what each one is/does? shaktiman |
