I've had this daystar fastcache card (i have no idea if it's 32 or 64k) but no IIci, until today. I found one and got it just for the chance to see how it performs with the cache card. well, I started it up first without the card, to make sure it was working, which it was, shut down, dropped the card in, and powered up. Nothing, I waited and waited and it just hung without anything on screen. I was wondering if there was software I needed for this, or is something messed up with my hardware? thank for any help

yeah, i think it was. After i left it for a while trying to boot, i shut it down, went to pull the card out and it was hot. REALLY hot. so i'm guessing that it died. I only paid 5 bucks for the ci and all i wanted to do was try out that cache card. so i parted it out and will store the remains for a while.
