I've had this daystar fastcache card (i have no idea if it's 32 or 64k) but no IIci, until today. I found one and got it just for the chance to see how it performs with the cache card. well, I started it up first without the card, to make sure it was working, which it was, shut down, dropped the card in, and powered up. Nothing, I waited and waited and it just hung without anything on screen. I was wondering if there was software I needed for this, or is something messed up with my hardware? thank for any helpPM 8500 OC g3 420mhz (Daisy) (3) Quadra 950's Quadra 650 Performa 476 PB 165 Classic Newton 130 |

yeah, i think it was. After i left it for a while trying to boot, i shut it down, went to pull the card out and it was hot. REALLY hot. so i'm guessing that it died. I only paid 5 bucks for the ci and all i wanted to do was try out that cache card. so i parted it out and will store the remains for a while.PM 8500 OC g3 420mhz (Daisy) (3) Quadra 950's Quadra 650 Performa 476 PB 165 Classic Newton 130 Edited by - thelip on 24 May 2002 22:13:29 |
