Great interview! Thanks for sharing it!
I was lucky enough to have met Woz about 5 or 6 years ago. My mom and I were in the BART station in Berkley (across from San Fran), playing our music (she was a street musician for 25 years), and I saw Woz walking by. I ran over and asked him if he really was who he looked like, and he said 'yep, you found me!' We chatted for a while (he was super-nice), and he put a $20 bill in my mom's box. One of the nicest people I've ever known!

Hmm...the Woz is like that down to earth and friendly. I remember chatting with him about two years ago online. The "Woz" gave Apple a soul. He was the one responsible for Apple's dedication to education early on. He is a true piece of living computer history, yet there is no arrogance, just a friendly chap that wants people to learn something.

hahah:

"Steve Jobs doesn't use a Mac and won't because it's too crappy in his opinion."

That is absolutely grand.

I believe that was before OS X - he ran OpenStep on a PC laptop.

Yeah, if you look, the interview is from back in '98... ahh, the bad old days... (for apple, at least... err, until the iMac... okay, I'll shut up now...)
Yeah, it's great to hear of someone like him who never really let his massive fame and success go to his head. Sorta the Bruce Springsteen(sp?) of the computer world.
I remember trying to get some of my highschool teachers into Apple, and one of 'em heard that Steve Jobs wasn't even using an Apple laptop. I was pretty pissed for a while, but now I kinda understand where he was coming from. I'm glad to see the new (profitable!) direction Apple is going in. I'll be glad to shell out some dough for Jaguar when it comes out, since it's money spent on a company I can have some faith in. A few years ago, I had an oppurtunity to buy a new computer (it ened up not working out), and I was afraid to buy a new Mac, but horrified at the idea of buying a Wintel box. I'm glad things have gotten better at 1 infinate loop.
