I finally bid on (and WON!) an elusive 80-to-50-pin SCSI adapter! Check it out!

I was pretty lucky, too, as not only is this one low-profile (thus, able to fit in a crampt LC 475 box), but it was only $13 total! Most of 'em seem to go for $25, not including shipping!

Now I just need to find the biggest SCA SCSI drive I can afford (well, and a PDS Ethernet card and a 128MB single-banked 72-pin RAM SIMM ), and soon I'll have a kick-arse LC 475 server-o-death!

wtf have you got against the IDE Quadras? is there something about the 475 and SCSI that'll be worth the price of running it thru the controller on a 475? or is it the slimline formfactor that you need to fit it next to that 840 thingie?

jt . .

Ack!

If I had have known you needed an LC NIC I would have droped on in the box with your hub... But LML left yesterday. I've got dozens of them. Hows that for shitty timing!

Cheers!

Maybe I'm old-fashioned...but I just don't like IDE. There, I said it. I'm a bigot.

Oh pooh! Somehow I knew that was going to happen! Well not worry, I can probably get one on eBay for $5 (or from another soldier for a song ).

Join the club. I have an LC475 that runs 24/7 when I'm at home. I have employed IPNetRouter 68k, MacDNS, MacHTTP and a 500MB Fujitsu 50-pin hard disk and it runs all of my services.

That said I'm moving IPNR onto a IIci so I can learn how tou route a network using it and route between my network and my Dad's so I don't have to change either his or my naming scheme when I move out but I can still use his internet connection. I needed 2 NICs anyhoo so I had to switch machines.
