Well ost o' you folks know I have an ATTO SEIV card in my 840av and got stonking rates off of it. All was well until I realised that copying large volumes of data from one ddrive to athe drive attached to it causes the machine to lock solid. This ain't much good for video capture really.I have tried the following:

Zap PRAM (4 times no less)
Check card, cable and drive. No damage
Tried a different drive.
Re-flashed the BIOS with v1.6.5 BIOS (older but supposedly stable)
Set the drive to 'Forced Single Ended' (required by SEIV card)
Moved the SCSI ID about.
Tried different sockets on the cable.
Tried a different NuBus slot
Tried the card in a IIci
Pulled out my hair

So did I miss anything? I am looking for a NuBus Jackhammer card to replace it in case anyone has a spare one going at a good price. I only pay by PayPal and I live in the UK.

Okay, are you using an IDE drive through the ACARD bridged attached to the ATTO card, or to the internal 50-pin SCSI host? I didn't quite understand that...
