I've got a mac2vga adapter with dip switches and multmode(multi-sync) options.

It works fine on my svga monitor with my 605 pizzabox.

I was wondering how the svga monitor would go with a Mac IIcx mono video card and the mac2vga adapter.

I think it might work with a multi-sync svga monitor.

I've tested the 605 with the adapters 16" multimode (multi-sync) option on my svga monitor and that seems ok.

So I think my svga is capable of doing multi-sync.

Has anyone else got a Mac II mono card working with a svga monitor.

sounds like it ought to work to me. check your card against the NuBus city pics and post a link here to the pic that looks like your card. i've got a bunch of NuBus video cards, if i have one i'll throw it into one of my II's and test it tomorrow, i'm gonna crash in a few minutes. if i don't have the one you have, i'll bet ~coxy does!

I got the IIcx and IIci working with a 6 switch mac2vga converter with the 16" multimode setting connected to a NEC Multisync 3D monitor.

The first old svga monitor I tried would'nt work, it wouldn't sync.

Actually, i'm sure that that vid card you're trying to use in the IIcx only supports fixed resolution monitors. The reason it works with the Quad is because the Quadra has full support for multiple scan displays.

Yep. I think it's 67Hz fixed freq for that card.

I'm pretty sure my Mac2VGA adapter doesn't have
sync on green (sog) stuff in it and for the old svga monitors
you need a sog Mac2VGA adapter.

The NEC MultiSync 3D can do sog so it works with my non sog
Mac2VGA adapter.

The quadras and maybe the LC's can use a non sog Mac2VGA adapter.

Yeah. All Quadras should be able to use it, and some LCs. You can't use it with an original LC, or an LCII. The LCIII i'm not sure, but i can't see why it wouldn't be able to. The LC475 i know can handle it with no problem at all.
