Hey, I'm just wondering if there are any other TiBook users here. I've got a 500 mHz TiBook, which I absolutely love. However, I've had a couple of (hopefully!) minor problems, mostly in regards to heat and overheating. Also, I've noticed a little, err, oddness with the DVD drive- just the occasional strange behavior when inserting cd's.
Anyway, I'm just curious if there are any other's out there...
Thanks,
SpaceBoy

Prob not a bad idea- I bet the new models will get SuperDrives before too long now... it's just too important for Apple's "power user" strategy, methinks.
If you can't hold out, though, I bet you can get an even better deal then I did on mine- I got mine as a direct-from-apple refurb model, at a slightly lower price then the iBook I'd called to buy! If you ask, they often have refurb units that aren't advertised in the 'special deals' section of their 'Apple Store' website.
Just a thought...

We''ll SpaceBoy I am not looking for a new model, I am waiting for new ones so old ones go down, if we get SuperDrive's I won't have to get the Ti400 I was thinking but a Ti550.

For whatever it's worth, if you're aiming for a 550, you might just want to pick up a 500 like I've got- from what I've read, the 500 is actually faster in a lot of areas. Sound, disk access, etc. I can't say for certain, but I have read this in several places. If I can find a link, I'll post it.
Just a thought.
