Ok well apparently i did SOMEthing to piss offf the mac gods...

I got my 6500 in that will have the 15 GB drive etc. and it worked and yadda yadda having fun time. Not an hour after I have it runnin, the transformer outside my house blows and surges the PSU, frying it. I hate electricity. So, anyone got one out there? If not, how bout helping me finance one by purchasing one or more of the following:
-6100 mobo
-7200/120 no HD
-NuBus vid card
-PB 170

That sucks....
Still selling any of those other macs?
I'd buy one if I could use the monitor, keyboard, and mouse from my LC. Would it come with an HD?
Sorry to hear about your loss.

The rest of the macs have been sold in one way or another. What is listed above is it. The 7200 has no HD, the 6100 is a bare mobo with around 32 MB of RAM, the PB 170 has 80 MB HD and 8 MB of RAM i do believe. That should be aboot it.

Well foetoid, I have the entire 6500, nice HD, full of RAM, PCI ethernet, so a new machien would be a bit akward unless it was a really good deal. Is there anything of mine you would like?
Also, anyone know of the pinouts of the power supply's cables etc. ? I have some PSU's i could possibly change over if i knew they would work for sure.

$40 including shipping way over to you sounds about right. I accept M.O.'s and Paypal.

Thanks trash, I'm working on adapting a 7200 PSU right now. Wires can be such a mess.....

Anything else?

Hey, that 7200 that you had for sale- is it still up for grabs? How 'bout the PSU? I'm looking for one for my (pile of) 7600's, so if it's still around, I'd sure be interested...
Thanks,
SpaceBoy

Check out http://homepage.mac.com/zone6400 for a PSU they have a buy/sell/trade forum that has just about everything you could want for a 6500/6400 system. Most everything is interchangable between these 2 machines. Plus there is alot of great info on upgrades and hacks. If you have a 6500/6400 sys you reaally need to check this site out!

Spacey- The 7200 is still available and like following:
There is no HD, period. The rest is all optional, tell me what you need and il figure out a price. CD-ROm, RAM (8-40 MB, you choose) mobo, PSU. You choose how much of the machine you want, anyone else can fight over the left overs.
Jeremy- Still interest in the PB?
Leemac- Thanks for the link, I'm over there right now.
Trash- the hack is not going well...

Hmmm...
While the extra parts are tempting, since I've already got 3 (nearly...) complete PowerMac 7200's (you can see a funny pic here: http://homepage.mac.com/huckdunsany/PhotoAlbum3.html ), I don't think I need anything but a working PSU. To be honest, I don't even know for sure that any of these systems work at all, so I'm going to hold off buying extra parts until I have at least one up-and-running.
So, how much for just the PSU? Or would you be willing to trade? I've got lots of RAM (30, 72, and 168-pin), hard drives, etc.
Otherwise, just let me know what you'd want for the PSU.
If you like, email me at huckdunsany-at-hotmail.com .
Thanks,
SpaceBoy

sounds like it's time to draw up a color coded diagram of your connector/wiring harness got clarisworks or a real graphics package?

or you can download graphicconverter!

got a multimeter or a voltage meter or a battery tester?

it's playtime!

Trash- Did you read through the thread any over there? There is a good diagram/pinout following a link about half way down the thread. This would be a nice addition for the MLA methinks.

I am in the process of buying a 6500 PSU from someone, but have yet to hear back from them. So still make offers if your hording one somewhere someone! Also, this stuff is just plain for sale.

Ok, a friend just offered me a Performa 63x. Now the wiring harness should be the same, so should i take it and kinda put it together with the 6500? Would this work? I dunno, just throwing ideas out.

I am locking this topic. It has become more of a trouble shooting thread and less of a buy /sell/trade thread. Please continue the trouble shooting in balloon help and start a new post here in Trading post if you are still in need of parts. Email me with any questions. Thanks!
