Well, the title pretty well says it all. If you've got a PS from any of those units (or two, if you've got 'em...), please lemme know. I just found 3 PowerMac 7600/132's, and they all have bad power supplies. I'm thinking, if I can get one working, I might turn it into some sort of 68k case hack. I was thinking along the lines of mounting the guts in a Mac II case... that'd be pretty cool...
Anyway, drop me a line if you've got one!
Thanks!

PS If this is 68k blasphomy, please kill this thread. I'm not trying to get thrown in the brig!

Oh well... I'm sure some kind soul out there has one collecting dust... I could just grab one on eBay, but they tend to be a little on the pricy side, with lots of shipping tacked on to boot.
So, calling all kind souls...

Roger, copy that!
Actually, the 7600-in-a-Mac II-case thing is just a vauge idea- I don't even have a Mac II at the moment. I've just always loved the Mac II's design- it's so.... monolithic! Second only to the Quadra 950 (which I'd never tear apar!) I'll dig around and see if it's within my skill range to convert a standard power supply, but in the meantime I'll still take offers on a 72/75/7600 series PSU...
Thanks,
SpaceBoy <over and out...>

Thanks, but I've already managed to get my hands on one, and I don't plan on resurrecting the other two 7600's at the moment. If anyone here needs parts from two working 7600's (minus RAM and power supplies) lemme know!
Thanks!

Erm, well i would *like* a 7600 mobo and all, i really love AV machines. Only problem would be that I have no cash, am actually somewhat in debt. And the only things i got for trade are some 7200 mobo's....taht nuBus vid card and my PB 170....

Probably not worth it for you, but if you really want any of that shtuff maybe we could work out a trade.

I dunno, just kinda making it known i like lots and have little :-P

What condition is your PB 170 in? I've been trying to get my 180 running well enough that I can send it to my Mom, but it's having serious hard drive problems. If the 170 is in working shape, I'd sure be interested...
Thanks,

The PB 170 purrs like a kitten but has some cosmetic issues.
The back cover plate is missing and a part of the plastic is...well....gone (less than a centimeter square, near the modem port). A dab of yellow paint is also in the center torx screw well on the underside. Functionally, it works perfect though. System 7.1 i think...

What are the specs on the 170? RAM, HDD, etc. If it's really running that well, I just may make a play for it. I'm gonna spend a little more time trying to resurect my 180 (it died very strangely, while being used in SCSI-disk mode- now it gives the "?" of death...), but if it's still not working, I'll let you know. I'm going to go visit my mom (in colorado) next month, so if I do end up getting yours, it'll most likely be before then.
Thanks!

Ok well first off, biggest short coming, There is no battery. AC adapter and a battery charger I DO have though and can include seeing as I would have no use for them outside this machine.

Now for specs:
-8 MB RAM (Ram dblr installed - 16 MB)
-80 MB HD
-Internal modem, do not know speed.
-Keyboard and track ball both work fine.
-only one or two dead pixels on the B&W screen

Any more questions?

Yeah, I'm still interested! Sorry I've been quiet the past few days- work and classes are rough.
Anyway, I'm not sure that I'm going to be able to trade any of that PM7600 stuff- I'm hoping to ebay them to raise funds for my colorado trip. Is there anything else you're looking for?
Thanks,
SpaceBoy

Sorry for the slowness- life's been crazy the past few days (you try taking a whole semester's worth of classes in 2.5 weeks!), but I'll figure out what I've got to trade (hopefully!) this weekend.
Please bear with me...
